The NeurotoxinS

botox xeomin

Neurotoxins

Botox, Xeomin, Jeuveau, and Dysport are Type A neurotoxins used in the treatment of:

  • Glabellar lines (a.k.a. “elevens”  lines between the brows)

  • Wrinkles around the eyes, such as crow’s feet

  • Forehead creases

  • Downturned corners of the mouth

  • A “pebbled” appearance to the chin

  • Eyebrow lifts

  • Bunny lines ( lines that appear on either side of your nose when you scrunch )

  • Gummy smile and lip flips

  • Lip lines (fine lines of upper and lower lips)

Did you know?

You can also use neurotoxins to treat:

  • Bruxism (jaw clenching/tooth grinding) we use neurotoxin to inject the masseters (jaw muscle) to help slim the jawline. As an added benefit and bonus to the slimming treatment of the jaw muscles, this treatment can significantly reduce clenching and grinding!

  • Excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis) can be very successfully treated using neurotoxin.

  • Soften vertical neck bands

Preventative use of neurotoxins?

Yes!  This is something we do frequently as it helps to reduce the stress of the repetitive muscle motions that cause wrinkling of the skin. You don't have to wait to see the deep creases and wrinkles before treating them.

Being proactive can have great long-term benefits!

How long does neurotoxin take to work and how long does it last?

Typically neurotoxin injections start to take effect at about 2 weeks post-treatment and last 3-4 months.

You may find that after 2 weeks a bit more product is needed in a certain area.

This happens because in most people muscle activity patterns vary and differ slightly so a 2-week touch-up is not at all uncommon.

Neurotoxin contraindications

The Dermal Filler

Lip filler dermal filler

Our Filler Philosophy

Everyone possesses natural beauty. Everyone. It is our job to help refine and enhance that natural beauty.

"You look fantastic, what is your secret?"

Dermal filler shouldn't be obvious, it should be so natural as to be virtually imperceptible.

If you are thinking about receiving filler for the first time,  it is completely understandable that you may have questions or even concerns.

Do not hesitate to speak with your nurse injector about these things, they matter to us because they matter to you!

Lips

As we age, we naturally lose volume in our faces, and the lips are no exception.  Using hyaluronic acid-based filler we can help create a natural symmetry and beautiful enhancement to the lip area.

What else can I do with filler?

  • Smooth out lines around nose and mouth (a.k.a. marionette lines, smile lines, and parentheses)

  • Enhance & restore volume to sunken cheeks or temples

  • Diminish vertical lip lines

  • Smooth out a chin crease

  • Improve symmetry among facial features

How long does filler last ?

Filler can last anywhere from 6 months to 2 years depending on the type of filler used and the location of use.   This will be discussed more in-depth at your consultation.

There are rare occasions where certain fillers simply don't last as long in certain patients primarily due to increased metabolic rate.

  • If this sounds like you might fit into this category, discuss this with your nurse injector during your consultation.

What is the cost of filler ?

This depends on the filler chosen.

Cost is calculated per syringe and can vary due to the longevity of the product.

The range is typically $650-$1000 per syringe, keep in mind some products can last up to 2 years!
